So, yeah, George R. R. Martin (You know, of that Game of Thrones business?) wrote a letter and had it printed in AVENGERS #12 back in the ’60s.

I’ve known about this for a bit, but today Coheed and Cambria singer Claudio Sanchez tweeted it to me and I figured it would be a fun tidbit to share. Claudio’s been without power because of the storms and he just happened upon GRRM’s letter while reading old comics. Fantastic!

Of course the author of A Game of Thrones is a Marvel fan. ‘Splains the awesomeness and depth of his characters/story
